Do u get wat I'm sayin?

What better way to communicate than verbally talking to your peers. Today many prefer to communicate through written or should I say texting. The problem with this is because it is just words, it can get interpreted wrong. There are ways to make the text have a tone or expression but depending on the mood of the receiver, it can be read incorrectly. When two or more people are in front of each other speaking, one can read the body language and tone of voice and better receive the message. Especially being a student, it is easier to understand the professor explain the literature than just reading it out of a book. Now, there are people that lack listening skills but at least they get the nature of the message. Audio is another great way to communicate. Delivery of a message is very important. Although noise can be a problem with audio it does not construe the actual message.
As more and more visuals are being pushed out in this technology-topia, colors and symbols is what catches people's eye. Colors always had a huge meaning when it comes to representation, meaning, emotion of a visual. For example, if you see pink you relate it to a girl, white is pure, black could be important, professional, or scary. Colors can also symbolize something in the visual, that’s why symbols are just as important. Symbols are modern day hieroglyphics. By using a certain symbol on a visual it is stating what that symbol means. It’s very crucial to make sure the symbol match the literature in the visual. Because the eye would notice the symbol first, if the words doesn't reflect the symbol, it can be interpreted wrong.

Apple has one of the strongest yet simple ways of communicating their products to consumers. It crazy how children as young as three know the apple logo and know the name of their products before their colors. Apple visuals are very clean and normally do not have font. So how did Apple become so big? Word to mouth. Apple the product everyone including the people who are anti-Apple talks about. Now it is a luxury phone and is the phone to use for social media. A person that went from hosting her own talk show to being a billionaire, Oprah Winfrey is her own brand. When you the big o you refer it back to Oprah.  Through her book clubs, magazine, and network, by just seeing her name on a product or even mention makes consumers want to buy it. Oprah is known for uplifting, empowering, making people feel safe and included. Nike is great at including diversity into their campaign. Since the problems with social justice and women’s equality in sports has been coming to the forefront. The Nike symbols means more than athletic gear. Nike has been campaigning and advocating for those rights of the people. Through the videos and photography using both symbols and font to get their message across.
